Whenever an organization needs a service / function, it has two options – create the infrastructure or outsource the activity. If an organization is to create the infrastructure, it would need a specialist to be at head of the function. Also, inputs from HR and Finance and support of the IT hardware, software and logistics would be required costing money.
If the organisation decides to outsource that activity, all these are expected from the service provider. The outlook may be to outsource with the intention of reducing cost.
